ERP Ecommerce

Develop a seamless ERP ecommerce interface, by integrating your third party online store with Sharp-aX ERP software. This is the perfect solution for businesses that already have a third party ecommerce platform set up on their website, or if you are just starting out with ecommerce.

How it works

Integrating your accounting and stock management software (ERP) with your website ecommerce software means that you can sell online more efficiently. When someone places an order on your website, the system will connect automatically to your back-end stock control software, for a smoother and more efficient process. Stock, pricing and imagery can all be imported automatically to the website, and all orders made via the web are paid and processed 24/7, seamlessly into the Sharp-aX system.

There 2 are different ways to achieve this integration with Sharp-aX ERP software:

  • A fully integrated website using a custom Sharp-aX template for both ERP and ecommerce
  • Integration with popular off-the-shelf ecommerce platforms such as Magento, OpenCart, Shopify and WooCommerce. Although not as customisable as a bespoke Sharp-aX template, these platforms will enable your business to have an online store and take money via multiple payment providers, including PayPal, Opayo (formerly known as Sage Pay) and Worldpay.

Choosing the right ERP ecommerce solution

There’s no ‘one size fits all’. Deciding on the best ERP ecommerce solution comes down to the individual needs, features and preferences of your business. Whilst each third party ecommerce platform does the same job, their back office tools range from easy to advanced. Here are some things to consider:

  • How easy is it to edit the website? Each platform comes with a basic Content Management System for editing the website, but you may find some platforms limited in what can actually be changed. (For greater freedom and fewer restrictions, you may wish to consider our fully integrated solution).
  • Cost of development and ongoing fees. For example, a Shopify solution would be cheaper to develop, but has additional ongoing monthly fees. Other solutions may be more costly at the initial development stage, but could be cheaper to maintain.

Already have a website? Set up your ecommerce store

If you already have a website but you’re not currently selling online, a third-party ecommerce platform integrated with your Sharp-aX ERP system could be a good place to start. There are different options to consider:

  • If you currently use WordPress for your company website or blog, it’s quick and easy to add the WooCommerce platform, which will allow you to start selling products online.
  • Alternatively, we can provide a custom ecommerce solution to have the same look and feel as your website, including your company branding. The ecommerce section of your site would work independently from the main site so as not to interfere with the existing setup.
